As the owner of Victory Family Counseling, I am committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where clients feel heard and supported. I believe that therapy is a powerful tool for personal growth and healing, which is why I am still actively seeing clients in addition to managing the practice.

I have a deep respect for the therapeutic process and am committed to ongoing learning and development. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and psychodynamic theory, to create a personalized treatment plan for each client.

I am Jarytza Linares, a member of the Latine and LGBTQIA+ community who aims to decolonize mental health and provide services that are affirming and honor intersectionality. I have a background in Women and Gender Studies and Sociology and approach therapy with a systems perspective.

Some modalities I use in session include somatic (body-based) modalities such as EMDR and Mindfulness-based practices, as well as other forms of talk therapy including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative therapy, and other tools that resonate. Not one modality is better than another, some resonate more than others - so I aim to have therapy be person-centered to honor where we are and our current needs.

I have experience and passion working with life experiences surrounding trauma, depression, anxiety, gender exploration, immigration experiences, neurodivergent, biculturalism and intersectionality.

I enjoy learning and growing, as we grow in our path.

It can be a challenge to exist in our world sometimes, I look forward to making our paths a little bit clearer.

Welcome to therapy! I’m Cherokee, and I’m thrilled to be part of your journey.

As a licensed therapist with a Master's in Social Work, I am passionate about working with children and adolescents, adults, neurodivergent individuals, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I will meet you where you are and tailor therapeutic approaches to your needs. I aim to empower and help guide you to a place that you are struggling to reach. By providing a welcoming presence, I work to create a space that is safe, inclusive, and comfortable where we are able to strengthen our therapeutic relationship. Each of us go through all types of challenging, exciting, and sometimes unknown places. Creating a non-judgmental atmosphere to process everything can promote growth within the connection between mind and body.

My areas of expertise include anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, and exploration of gender and/or sexual identity. I incorporate mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT into sessions based on your presented needs. If you are struggling with your identity/questioning, negative thinking, emotional regulation, relationships with others, or the relationship with yourself, I am here to help!

When I’m not in the office, you’ll probably find me spending time with my pets, trying new recipes and new foods, or painting. I’m here to support you every step of the way, so don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m looking forward to connecting with you!

As a licensed clinical social worker therapist, I’ve spent the past three years helping people navigate life’s twists and turns. The population that I provide support the most are individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, suicidality, and other challenges. Having clients from the ages of 6 to 99+, working with individuals, couples, and families. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to heal. I provide a non-judgmental space where we can work on the twists and turns of life as we focus on your strengths and empowerment.

In our sessions, I love using a blend of CBT, DBT, and mindfulness techniques, even faith-based techniques to help you feel more in control of your life and start to enjoy your life. The most rewarding part is seeing my clients move from a very dark place to seeing life return to their eyes, wanting to live and enjoy life.

When I'm not in the office, you'll probably find me with my family, pets, reading a book, or binge-watching a show (Comedy is my favorite genre). I'm here to support you every step of the way, so don't hesitate to reach out. I'm looking forward to connecting with you!

Hi! I’m Mario. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and hold a Master of Social Work degree from UNC Chapel Hill. As a queer, Latino, immigrant in a large body, I understand firsthand how identity, culture, and lived experiences shape our mental health. I also know how deeply oppression can impact our sense of self, safety, and belonging. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued and don’t have to explain or justify your experiences, but instead, can focus on healing and growth.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in an anti-oppressive lens that recognizes the ways societal systems affect our mental health and self-perception. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based and person-centered approaches to help you better understand yourself, navigate the challenges in your life, and make choices that feel true to you.

I’m here to support you in a way that is compassionate, collaborative, and affirming. You deserve a space where you can show up as your full self and work toward your goals, and I would be honored to partner with you on that journey.

Hi, I’m Kari, a graduate social work clinician-in-training from Winthrop University. I am excited to be completing my practicum at Victory Family Counseling and to gain more experience working directly with clients. I am passionate about working with the Latinx community, especially women, and I care deeply about helping reduce stigma and increase understanding around mental health. My hope is that clients feel comfortable being fully themselves in session and leave feeling supported and empowered. I also believe in creating a safe and welcoming space for people of all ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and backgrounds, and I strive to practice in a way that is culturally humble and inclusive. During my practicum, I look forward to strengthening my ability to build meaningful connections and learning how to apply therapeutic skills in ways that honor each person’s background and story. In the future, I plan to use my bilingual background and cultural competency to make a positive impact as both a clinician and a community advocate for greater access to mental health care. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with friends, watching shows, listening to music and podcasts, and recharging by cooking and playing board games with my neighbors.
