As the owner of Victory Family Counseling, I am committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where clients feel heard and supported. I believe that therapy is a powerful tool for personal growth and healing, which is why I am still actively seeing clients in addition to managing the practice.

I have a deep respect for the therapeutic process and am committed to ongoing learning and development. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and psychodynamic theory, to create a personalized treatment plan for each client.

Welcome to therapy! I’m Cherokee, and I’m thrilled to be part of your journey.

As a licensed therapist with a Master's in Social Work, I am passionate about working with children and adolescents, adults, neurodivergent individuals, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I will meet you where you are and tailor therapeutic approaches to your needs. I aim to empower and help guide you to a place that you are struggling to reach. By providing a welcoming presence, I work to create a space that is safe, inclusive, and comfortable where we are able to strengthen our therapeutic relationship. Each of us go through all types of challenging, exciting, and sometimes unknown places. Creating a non-judgmental atmosphere to process everything can promote growth within the connection between mind and body.

My areas of expertise include anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, and exploration of gender and/or sexual identity. I incorporate mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT into sessions based on your presented needs. If you are struggling with your identity/questioning, negative thinking, emotional regulation, relationships with others, or the relationship with yourself, I am here to help!

When I’m not in the office, you’ll probably find me spending time with my pets, trying new recipes and new foods, or painting. I’m here to support you every step of the way, so don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m looking forward to connecting with you!

Hello! I am Maighia Vang or you can call me MJ. I am pleased to be included in your journey.

With an LCSW-A credential, I have spent the last three years as a Hmong American therapist and medical social worker, guiding clients through complex medical issues and offering mental health counseling services to individuals across the lifespan.

My approach is rooted in a holistic and didactic framework, incorporating the interrelated physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions relevant to your experience. I draw upon a range of therapeutic techniques, including reality, narrative, and cognitive behavioral therapy, complemented by a strengths perspective.

What I find most rewarding as a therapist is empowering you to live a life aligned with your values and beliefs.

During my leisure time, I enjoy hiking, baking, and watching Netflix. Occasionally, I also engage in drawing and crafting candles and resin jewelry.

By offering a safe and non-judgmental space for mental health counseling, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of you and support your journey towards a healthier and happier life, which you inherently deserve.

Hi! I’m Mario. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and hold a Master of Social Work degree from UNC Chapel Hill. As a queer, Latino, immigrant in a large body, I understand firsthand how identity, culture, and lived experiences shape our mental health. I also know how deeply oppression can impact our sense of self, safety, and belonging. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued and don’t have to explain or justify your experiences, but instead, can focus on healing and growth.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in an anti-oppressive lens that recognizes the ways societal systems affect our mental health and self-perception. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based and person-centered approaches to help you better understand yourself, navigate the challenges in your life, and make choices that feel true to you.

I’m here to support you in a way that is compassionate, collaborative, and affirming. You deserve a space where you can show up as your full self and work toward your goals, and I would be honored to partner with you on that journey.

I use evidence-based therapeutic techniques that best work with each individual.

I specialize in helping individuals work through everyday stressors, past and present traumas, and the complexities of life transitions. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or seeking a space to process, I am committed to providing a safe, warm, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely.

With training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices, I use evidence-based and eclectic approaches tailored to your unique needs. I am a certified Life Transitions Specialist. Navigating life’s changes and personal challenges can feel overwhelming and emotionally draining. During seasons of change, it’s common to question who you are and where you’re headed. If you’re struggling to find your voice or sense of belonging, you’re not alone. Together, we can reconnect with your authentic self, embrace change, and build clarity and confidence for what comes next.

My Experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.

My primary approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, focusing on each individual’s unique experiences and strengths to support meaningful growth. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients become more aligned with their authentic selves and release what no longer serves them.

I have completed specialized training in Immigration Evaluations and provide thorough, compassionate assessments. I work with individuals ages 10 and older and have experience supporting diverse cultural backgrounds with culturally sensitive, inclusive care. My clinical focus includes trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions using empathetic, evidence-based approaches.

When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m…
Cooking, working out, reading, watching TV, or spending time with friends. I’m also a proud dog and cat mom, and love spending time with my pets.

I am Jarytza Linares, a member of the Latine and LGBTQIA+ community who aims to decolonize mental health and provide services that are affirming and honor intersectionality. I have a background in Women and Gender Studies and Sociology and approach therapy with a systems perspective.

Some modalities I use in session include somatic (body-based) modalities such as EMDR and Mindfulness-based practices, as well as other forms of talk therapy including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative therapy, and other tools that resonate. Not one modality is better than another, some resonate more than others - so I aim to have therapy be person-centered to honor where we are and our current needs.

I have experience and passion working with life experiences surrounding trauma, depression, anxiety, gender exploration, immigration experiences, neurodivergent, biculturalism and intersectionality.

I enjoy learning and growing, as we grow in our path.

It can be a challenge to exist in our world sometimes, I look forward to making our paths a little bit clearer.

Hello! My name is Breasia Mason, and I’m a Master of Social Work student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I’m excited to be serving as an Intern Therapist with Victory Family Counseling. I understand the true privilege of being invited into someone’s journey, and I strive to create and uphold a space where clients feel seen, supported, and truly heard.I am passionate about supporting individuals during the perinatal period, including those experiencing postpartum depression and the challenges of adjusting to new parenthood. I also value working with clients as they navigate other life transitions and strengthen relationships. I like to help clients notice patterns in their thoughts and behaviors, explore their own motivation for change, and build on what’s already working well in their lives. I also have a growing interest in somatic approaches, which support the mind–body connection and help clients feel more grounded.

I look forward to deepening my knowledge and gaining experience with individuals and communities. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and am currently obtaining a Doula certification. Outside of my studies, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Sevyn, engaging in yoga, and trying new recipes.

I look forward to sharing space with you and walking alongside you in your journey!
